Puponga Farm Park

Puponga Farm Park is at the base of Farewell Spit in Golden Bay, and is bounded on the west by the Tasman Sea and on the east by Golden Bay. It runs between Farewell Spit and the Kahurangi National Park.

Being a farm park it is open to public access as well as being run as a commercial farm. Approximately 100,000 people visit the park each year on their way to the dramatic Wharariki Beach, or to view Farewell Spit and the thousands of migrating birds there.

It is also home to the Farewell Wharariki Eco Sanctuary.
