Training our people
Our staff have a range of training opportunities available to them.
Our permanent staff each have personal development plans, and we are progressively developing the process to deliver good outcomes for both staff and the company.
On-farm training includes driving off-road vehicles, chainsaws, tractors, working at heights, handling chemicals and first aid.
AgITO courses are offered, and staff are given time off to complete the papers or practical courses. Lone Star Farms are now part of the Apprenticeship Boost Scheme which helps employees with their costs.
For a number of years we have been running a Second-In-Charge (2IC) discussion group to extend our more senior shepherds and employees.
