Stradbrook was leased in 2023.

It is an intensive, largely irrigated farm on free draining soils in Mid Canterbury. It is an integral part of the wider Lumina lamb programme.

It’s primary function for LSF is to finish Lumina lambs. It receives lambs from the LSF owned farms (mainly Barewood) and other partnership farms in the group, as well as buying Lumina lambs from outside suppliers. It is the largest finisher of Lumina Lambs in the programme (31- 33,000 lambs).

In 2024/25 it lambed 1200 ewes and bought 2,000 ewes with lambs at foot to utilise early season Lumina finishing mix. It also grows cash crops and winter feed.
